With this nationally recognised qualification you will develop skills in community services, case management, social housing and mental health care. This course will enable you to manage, coordinate and deliver person centred services to individuals, groups and communities. We have two different streams available for students who wish to specialise in a certain area.
Stream 1: Generalist
With this stream you will gain knowledge and skills vital for working across a range of fields in community services. The key advantage will be learning transferable skills, which will help you work in different community service settings and environments.
Stream 2: Mental Health Stream
This stream focuses on rehabilitation and support for people affected by mental illness, psychiatric disability and mental health promotion and is more suited to students who want to specifically work in the mental health sector.

There are in total 16 units to complete following either our generalist or mental health streams.
Students must undertake a minimum of 100 – 120 logged working hours within an Approved Service which will allow you to complete a range of applicable work tasks.

There are no education entry requirements for the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services. Students must be above the age of 17 to enrol and 18 years of age to complete work placement to complete this qualification. Students under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardians’ permission to enrol.
Students will be required to provide a current National Police Certificate prior to commencing work.
