Course Requirement

To achieve the dual CHC43315/CHC52025 Certificate IV in Mental Health & Diploma of Community Services, a total of 22 units of competency must be completed.

Students must undertake a minimum of 180 logged working hours within an Approved Service which will allow you to complete a range of applicable work tasks.

Entry Requirements

There are no education entry requirement for this qualification. Student’s must be above the age of 17 to enrol and 18 years of age to complete work placement and complete this qualification. Students under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardians’ permission to enrol.

Students will be required to provide a current National Police Certificate prior to commencing work.

Kirana’s selection criteria will take into account various factors when deciding upon which students will be offered places in the program including;

  • The students’ needs and desired outcomes
  • The ability and commitment of the students to complete the course;
  • Eligibility requirements listed in the applicable National Training Package;
  • Students existing ability in the ACSF core skills, (learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy)

Students not meeting these requirements will be directed to more suitable qualifications or skill development programs.
