This Dual Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing will put you ahead by providing you with the relevant skills to provide person-centered support in both the aged care and disability sector. Package the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and Certificate IV in Ageing Support to save time, whilst gaining vast industry knowledge with 140 hours of work placement.
Once completing the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), individuals will only be required to complete an additional seven (7) units of competency from the Certificate IV in Ageing Support to be awarded a Dual Qualification – a total of 20 units.
The demand for skilled workers in aged care is growing. There were 221,400 Aged and Disabled Carers in 2020. The number of workers:
- grew very strongly over the past 5 years
- is expected to grow very strongly over the next five years
- is likely to reach 276,100 by 2025.
Requirements for Dual Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must first complete Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), along with the additional 7Â units of competency listed below. The candidate must also complete at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

On successful completion of CHC43115 Certificate IV in Mental Health you may be able to obtain employment in a range of community contexts such as community-based non-government organisations; home-based outreach; centre-based programs; respite care; residential services, rehabilitation programs; clinical settings; or supporting people in employment. Work is carried out autonomously under the broad guidance of other practitioners and professionals. Work involves implementing community-based programs and activities focusing on mental health, mental illness and psychiatric disability.
