Course Requirement

A total of 15 units are required to complete this qualification; eleven (11) core and four (4) elective units.

Students must undertake a minimum of 80 logged working hours within an approved service which will allow you to complete a range of applicable work tasks.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for Certificate IV in Mental Health qualification. It’s preferred that students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent.
Students will be required to provide a current National Police Certificate prior to commencing work.

Kirana’s selection criteria will take into account various factors when deciding upon which students will be offered places in the program including;

  • The ability and commitment of the students to complete the course;
  • Eligibility requirements listed in the applicable National Training Package;
  • Students existing ability in the ACSF core skills, (learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy)

Students not meeting these requirements will be directed to more suitable qualifications or skill development programs.
