Package the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and Certificate IV in Ageing Support to save time, whilst gaining vast industry knowledge with 240 hours of work placement.
Once completing the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), individuals will only be required to complete an additional seven (7) units of competency from the Certificate IV in Ageing Support to be awarded a Dual Qualification – a total of 20 units.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must first complete the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), along with the additional 7 units of competency listed below. The candidate must also complete at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
This course is the first step in gaining the knowledge and practical experience to work in this rapidly growing industry. You will be given a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support. The practical work placement aspect of this course will give you the hands-on experience that you need to step directly into your new role.
